Apropos...totally random

So today, while I was getting on the AirTrain from JFK to the Jamaica Station, I looked to my left and saw a familiar face. Being totally out of the normal environment which I see this person, it took me a couple seconds and a double acknowledgement when she looked at me to realize this was my coworker.

To show you how random this was...
I had just flown in from SFO to JFK. I got my baggage claim relatively quick. I got on the wrong AirTrain initially (it was going in the right direction but would fork in a different direction near the end), so I had to get off at a later stop, and then after almost getting on another wrong train, I finally got on this one. And these trains have 2-3 cars, which means I easily could have entered on a different train or on the other side of the car and totally missed her. Follow that up with the fact that she was only on the train because her flight got cancelled, and right there we got a very very random set of occurrences.

Elbow space

So normally, I don't care too much about my elbow space when flying on a plane. But that's because normally, I'm flying on Continental or Alaska or Southwest and there's nothing but an armrest that one loses if the middle seat person takes up too much space.

Well, if you're flying JetBlue, you gotta fight for your right arm space (assuming you're on the right side of the plane). If you don't, that large lady (or man, if you should be so unlucky) to your right will fall asleep with her large arms hogging the whole armrest, and unless you like watching ESPNNews 10 times in a 5 hour flight, you're going to lose a significant part of the JetBlue experience.
